What affects the price of a metal hall

Published: · 5 min read

The first question from any customer is “how much does it cost?”. The honest answer is: it depends. Here is on what, and how to prepare a request that gets an exact price.

Hall dimensions

Area, eaves height and span determine the amount of steel. Per square metre a large hall is usually more efficient than a small one, because some costs are spread over more area.

Design loads

Snow, wind and operating loads (racking, machinery, overhead crane) change the profile sections. That is why the structure is calculated individually for each project.

Cladding and insulation

The thickness of PIR sandwich panels and the number of doors and windows significantly affect the final cost. A heated hall needs more insulation than a cold store.

Foundation and floor

The reinforced-concrete foundation is calculated for the chosen structure and the soil on site. The industrial floor depends on the traffic and loads it will carry.

Location and deadlines

Transport distance, site access and the required deadlines can influence the offer. We deliver nationwide and deadlines are fixed in the contract.
